The last two years have been a whirlwind. Last you heard from me was the month before I gave birth to my son, Asher. These years have been the most rewarding and challenging years of my life, and went by in an instant. And although you're discovering so much newness everyday with your child, it's easy to lose your self in parenthood. I definitely lost my creative mojo.
So it is with excitement that I announce I both began a new painting and wrote a new poem last month! The painting is a self-portrait (duh!) one of the largest I've done in years, about 22 x 30". The poem is about my grandmother. Both were living inside my head for a while. It's refreshing to finally be coming back into my practice, after feeling like I might never make work ever again.
